 • Terence Park, president of AAVA, started a voter registration drive in 1996 as he prepared for the New York City School Board and New York City Council elections in 2001.

• Since then, the number of registered voters has quadrupled with participation from many organizations and collective endeavors by many in New York City.

• We, Asian Americans, are at a crossroads – shall we advance, be inclusive, and find unity and power depends on the voter registration drive!
